The truth(?) about mod_rewrite
Searching for something in the mod_rewrite manual I just stumbled upon this quotes:
The great thing about mod_rewrite is it gives you all the configurability and flexibility of Sendmail. The downside to mod_rewrite is that it gives you all the configurability and flexibility of Sendmail.

Despite the tons of examples and docs, mod_rewrite is voodoo. Damned cool voodoo, but still voodoo.

Well, I have to say that when it comes to configuring Sendmail and you don’t have at least 10 years of experience in doing this, you’re better off with almost everything else 
mod_rewrite is like a walk in the park compared to working with sendmail (to me and many many other guys I guess 
).
